The drawing above is the future home of the Alaska Fine Arts Academy, which
will be situated in the beautifully wooded area known as Braendelwood in Eagle River. Presently, our wonderful non-profit
organization is working to raise the funds necessary to make this dream of founders Art and Eleanor Brandel come true. Until then, AFAA will continue to be a source of inspiration and growth, and allow children and adults
in our community to create and experience art, music, theatre, and photography.
Do you want to help? Click on SUPPORT AFAA and make a donation; small or large - every contribution is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Below are some pictures
from Braendelwood. They were taken in September of 2011 in preparation for and during our 2nd Annual Fall Fest. An amphitheater
was built in just a matter of days to provide the stage and seating for the Fall Fest crowds. Art Braendel Jr. supervised
several volunteers in accomplishing great things in very little time. Thank you to everyone that helped out!
And then, on September 25th, it was time for the great event! Great performances
by great people. Check out these fabulous pictures, taken by Stephanie Cook.
